Two scientific research teams from our university were selected into the list of the teams composed of “scientists plus engineers”

Lately, Department of Science & Technology of Shaanxi Province has announced the list of the selected teams of “Scientists plus Engineers” in the year of 2022. The “team ‘scientists plus engineers’ engaged in the display of flexible liquid crystal film” with Prof. Miao Zongcheng as the chief scientist and the “team ‘scientists plus engineers’ engaged in the industrialization of the integrated thermal management of new-energy vehicles” with senior engineer Zhang Shaoguo as the chief engineer have been successfully selected.

Jointly established by our university as the leading unit together with Xi’an Caijing Opto-Electrical Science & Technology Co., Ltd, the “team ‘scientists plus engineers’ engaged in the display of flexible liquid crystal film”, which is mainly geared to the strategic need for the scientific and technological development of the advanced display materials of the country, conducts the research on flexible liquid-crystal display materials and related devices as well as on a new generation of liquid-crystal display film materials by centering on the core scientific issue related to intelligent liquid-crystal display technology and devices so as to solve the method of regulating the matrix and micro-structure of polymers with optimal optical and electrical performance in films, improve the existing display technology and relevant independent innovation ability and lead the global development of a new generation of liquid-crystal display.

Initiated by Shaanxi Xihan Jingchuang Thermal-Control Science & Technology Ltd, an enterprise set up by our university for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the team “scientists plus engineers” engaged in the industrialization of the integrated thermal management of new-energy vehicles” was established in collaboration with our university. With its long-term technology accumulation in aspects such as the thermal management design for new-energy vehicles, heat pump air-conditioning technology, the BMS management system for batteries and the normalized system integration theory of the multi-thermal field coupling transfer process, the team mainly takes the thermal management of new-energy vehicles as its research orientation and is dedicated to solving the problems, for example, the low work efficiency caused by the mutual independence of several thermal management systems of hybrid power and battery electric vehicles so as to provide sufficient technological support for the industrialized projects of the integrated thermal management system of new-energy vehicles.
